The  International Book of Trees by Hugh Johnson –. hardcover 1973  8.95 condition: Good “Heavy book with some spine slippage. No loose pages and no markings whatsoever on this 1973 book.”  Not a book about bonsai but about trees and a darn good one.Great illustrations and descriptions of trees around the world. This is a large and heavy book and worth collecting for your reference library. Published in 1973 this is an old but collectable text. This book has no dustcover and is a hardcover plain green.Condition acceptable to good.  Reason for the conditional rating is there is some wrinkling from humidity on the back pages. Japanese Garden and Floral Art by Mrs. Paul Kincaid Floral design and landscape Good : “Simply in great shape for a 1966 book First edition. ”Good” because of written words signaling ownership on inside front cover.  Pages are clean with no handwriting. There a few check marks here and there. Boards are solid, and spine is square and tight. DJ shows some signs of shelf wear. Attractive book with little signs of use. except for dusk jacket. 195 pages with black and white photography.  99 illustrations that include some fine hand drawn artwork.This is not a book on bonsai, but on Japanese garden design and explorations of floral design. I near wanted to post it as very good because of a Christmas gift signature from the giver to the owner. Stonescaping  A guide to Using Stone in your Garden by Jan Kowalczeewski Whitner“Very good to like new for a 1992 paperback book” 7.95Stonescaping is not a book on bonsai, but a great guide to using Stone in your Garden. As I was a Landscaper I find this to be a wonderful book.Hardly looks handled. 154 pages and nice black-and-white illustrations. The Random House Book of Trees of North America and Europe Not a bonsai book   8.95 1st edition  1978 A Photographic Guide to More Than 500 Trees (Random House Book of … (Garden Plants)) (VERY LARGE Paperback) 1978 by Roger Phillips, Sheila Grant Used – Good  Shows some signs of wear, mostly a slight bending at the lower right corner. AS the title suggest this is a guide to tree identification and has nothing to do with Bonsai. It has over 1,000 full-color photograph illustrations, leaf, flower, fruit, bark and shape and each tree is fully described.The trees are ranged alphabetically by Latin, but their is a good index in the back with the common names and links to the correct page. NO PICTURE Tu Wan’s Stone Catalogue of Cloudy Forest: SOLD

Commentary and Synopsis 7.95 Good “Some pencil highlights in this 1961 book First edition” by Edward Hetzel Schafer (AuthorThis is a 116 page 1961 hardcover edition from the University of California Press. It has a dust jacket that is used. The binding is tight. Penciled  ownership on inside cover and some penciled notes on the back. Has a few highlight penciled marks in the margins of the text. Easily removed.  Illustrations are clean – The few pencil marks high light paragraphs but there is no underlining. Errata note included, showing error corrections and page notes of printing errors.

Due to PayPal’s inability to handle and charge appropriate fees for multiple combinations or in this case an International ship I will simply add an edited fee to ship this book to the Netherlands. “If you grow bonsai you should buy this book, not because it is a a Cofee table quality but because it is so beautifully written. Aside from Naka’s books I have only recommended one other as a top ten book.”  … So glad someone snatched this up.Just shipped with USPS. PayPal does not recognize anything but an envelope for International first class mail.

Good  condition 7.95 In very good condition inside, but the front cover is worn a bit. The inside of both of these magazines are in Great condition. BEAUTIFUL JAPANESE BONSAI MAGAZINE from 1982 and in GREAT SHAPE. Minor problem, I cannot read Japanese so I cannot give the publications name.  I am hoping that some Japanese speaker can identify this and give me more information. This second magazine has some wear on the front cover as the picture shows. The inside is great and both magazines still have subscription cards, which I doubt will work anymore.
